A Simple Approach to Living With Less

Kickstart Your Decluttering

I get lots of requests from people wanting to know how to start decluttering. When you make the decision to live with less, you want it as quickly as possible. When I started reading about minimalism and reading the stories of how it literally changed people’s lives, I wanted all my clutter gone NOW!

If you are still at the beginning of your journey to eliminate all your different kinds of clutter, it can be really helpful to have someone give you very specific steps to lead you through that process.

Tanja Hoagland has created a quick and easy step-by-step program to get your house decluttered. Tanja defines herself as a former packrat turned minimalist so she knows firsthand how overwhelming it can feel to take on a mountain of clutter.

30 Day Clutter BootcampImagine walking through your front door and stepping into your calm, serene home. Imagine knowing where everything is and never losing your car keys again. Imagine feeling happy to show off your home to your friends instead of always going to their place for a visit!

It’s possible. It really is. And it’s easier than you think. It just takes ditching the junk in your life one easy bite-size chunk at a time. That’s where the 30 Day Clutter Bootcamp steps in. When you are ready to take back your house and make a change, this book will help you take it one step at a time.

I truly wish I had this guide when I started trying to declutter all of our stuff. Having a plan and seeing yourself make real progress gives you the encouragement and direction to keep going.

  1. I just want to testify to how wonderful this book is. I have been decluttering for 6 years (little by little) and about 2 years ago stumbled on the concept of minimalism. Tanja’s book gave me the inspiration and encouragement to find the courage to get serious about my desire for less. As I’ve blogged my way through the 30 day challenge, Tanja has continued to offer her support and cheer me on.

The book is FULL of ideas, tips, practical suggestions and examples. And it is written by a wonderful person.

Faith, you are awesome too! I love the “family voice” you are giving to minimalism. Be blessed.

  2. I want to second how great this book is! I loved it! I’m not doing it in order since some of those areas I had already gone through in the past month or so, but it’s a lot of help.

  3. I love the Minimalist Packrat! I love her writing and her encouragement!

  4. Faith,

You don’t how excited I was to pop on your blog today and see this! I have to thank you so much. For those of you who don’t know, Faith kindly offered to be an advance reader and helped me put the finishing polishes on the book. You’re awesome Faith!

    Cheers,
    Tanja

  5. Thank you for sharing another resource. I think all of my recent comments over here have been about how discouraged I have been feeling lately about decluttering, so this might just be the little bit of help I need. 🙂
